My completed HPH Models Concorde in 1/48 is 4 feet long, it is fiberglass core and resin shell, a very challenging and intimidating subject that required power tools and 2-part epoxy to build. \r\n\r\nI used Tamiya spray cans to prime and paint it, as an airbrush would take too long and cans can deliver copious amounts of smooth paint quickly. Many components needed to be precision-cut off the one piece fuselage, and resin detail parts added in place.\r\n \r\nNeedless to say, much time was spent on sanding, filling, re-shaping, and generally tackling all of the many imperfections that a big limited-run model entails. Incidentally, HPH Models ceased operation about a year ago. The tail and fuselage markings were masked and painted, the red stripe along the fuselage is aftermarket stripes decals.\r\n\r\nThe drooped nose was cut out, reshaped, and installed with magnets in its typical 5 deg. angled down position. The cockpit windows are clear acetate shaped and bent to size.\r\nI suspect a few kits were bought but fewer were ever built to completion. If you know of any other of these completed models, please let me know. This is a very challenging model to complete, but it is absolutely beautiful and impressive once finished.
